I am a PhD student at the Research Unit for General Practice and the Department of Public Health, Aarhus University, with a strong interest in the treatment of obesity with weight loss medication. I hold a Professional Bachelor's degree in Global Nutrition and Health and an MSc in Health Science (cand.scient.san.), and my background in nutrition and health science provides a solid foundation for my work on how weight loss medication is being adopted in general practice.
My research primarily aims to understand how new medical treatments are adopted in general practice and what this means for both clinicians and patients. I currently focus on weight loss medication, examining how general practitioners approach and manage the treatment, and how patients experience the course of treatment. I combine quanitative and qualitative methods.
I teach small-group classes in public health on the medical degree programme at Aarhus University.
My project is carried out in collaboration with VIA University College and Nationalt Center for Overvægt (NCFO), who contribute to recruitment and provide academic input.
