VID bridges the gap between research in general practice and everyday clinical practice — for the benefit of patients.
Clinical practice includes general practice as well as activities that influence patient care, general practitioners and practice staff, such as quality improvement, continuing professional development and policy-making.
Working closely with a broad range of stakeholders across the general practice community, VID supports the translation of new research findings into everyday clinical practice.
VID develops resources and tools that support researchers, clinicians and other stakeholders in general practice. These include podcasts, videos, infographics, webinars, seminars, conferences, workshops, digital learning resources and continuing professional development activities.
VID provides guidance and support to promote knowledge mobilisation and strengthen collaboration across the general practice community.
VID works to improve access to new knowledge by helping researchers communicate and apply their expertise effectively, facilitating the translation of research into clinical practice.
The Network for Knowledge and Competencies in General Practice (VID) is a national network for the general practice community in Denmark.
VID was established in 2021 in collaboration with the Danish Cancer Society and the regional quality improvement units in Denmark.
VID is now operated by the four research units for general practice in Denmark.
