Knowledge Network in General Practice

The four Danish research units for general practice have established a joint knowledge network (VID). The network contributes to a strengthened mobilisation of the knowledge emanating from research projects at the four research units for general practice in Denmark.

The purpose of VID is to support the translation of new knowledge, gained by the four research units, into clinical practice - for the benefit of patients.

The Research Unit for General Practice in Aarhus has employed two academic consultants, Linda Aagaard Rasmussen and Line Flytkjær Virgilsen, who handle tasks in relation to the VID network. Both consultants are also active health care researchers.

The network was established in 2021 in collaboration with the Danish Cancer Society and the regional quality units. From 2024 onwards, VID will continue under the auspices of the four research units for general practice.
