Profil

My research focuses on cancer diagnostics in primary care, with a particular interest in timely cancer detection, diagnostic pathways, and health inequalities. With an MSc in Public Health and a PhD, I have a strong methodological foundation, particularly in epidemiological research and the use of questionnaire- and registry-based data.

I have authored more than 40 peer-reviewed publications and led more than 10 research projects as Principal Investigator. My research spans several aspects of cancer diagnostics, including screening participation, patient–GP interactions during the diagnostic process, and organisational factors such as geographical distance to healthcare facilities and their impact on cancer outcomes. A central focus across my research is understanding and addressing inequalities in cancer diagnosis and care, particularly among vulnerable patient groups.

Alongside my research, I have a strong commitment to knowledge mobilisation and research dissemination. As a consultant, I work to translate research findings into accessible and relevant knowledge for healthcare professionals and other stakeholders, with the aim of supporting evidence-based practice and improving patient outcomes.
